For me, the figurative abstraction process is more than the interaction with the materiality of color. Together with the actual painting process, this also includes a spiritual component. Some of my figurative paintings were inspired by a studio-based human model. When the focus is separated from reality and is on what’s most important, in these paintings appear abstract amazing scenes. Other works have been painted by use of a non-representational approach.
